First Impression: Clarisonic Mia

The website says:
Our smallest Sonic Skin Cleansing System, the one-button, one-speed Mia comes in a variety of colors and fits your active lifestyle – offering beautiful skin at home or on-the-go.

Kit Includes:

  • Clarisonic Mia
  • Universal Voltage Charger
  • Sensitive Brush Head
  • 1 oz. trial size Refreshing Gel Cleanser

Beautiful Skin Begins With Cleaner Skin
Traditional methods of cleansing don’t get your skin as clean as you’d think. Using Sonic Technology, Clarisonic’s patented micro-massage motion works within skin’s natural elasticity to gently remove the impurities traditional methods leave behind--leaving skin softer, smoother and more beautiful.
  • Cleanses 6x better than with your hands alone in just 60 seconds
  • Works with skin, not against it, to gently massage away impurities trapped within pores
  • Prepares skin for better absorption of creams, serums and moisturizers
  • Gentle enough to use 2x a day

My First Impression:
The first thing I noticed is that the clarisonic mia itself is heavy and sturdy. The brush that it came with is actually soft and feels good to the skin. Prior to usage of mia, I can tell instantly that it cleansed my face very well. My skin felt MUCH cleaner, smoother and softer.

Mac Studio Fix Fluid Review

I am a fan of MAC especially with their eyeshadows and lipsticks. I never get the chance to test their foundation for some unknown reason. But recently I went to MAC and I was actually looking for a blush but when I saw their line of foundation, I thought that I need to buy one and test it for myself since I read somewhere that it's a good foundation. So, I bought it.

Now, I have been using this foundation for almost a month now and I can say that I am truly impressed with this. This foundation provides medium - heavy coverage and it has this natural matte finish which suits for my combination - oily skin. A little drop of this foundation goes a long way and it is easy to blend  and what surprise me most, I did not break out from using this.

What I don't like from this is, it doesn't include a pump and the texture of this one is really thick..
But overall, I like this product and would repurchase again. However if I emptied this, I might try other foundation like the Nars sheer glow or the Chanel Vitalumiere.

Etude House False Lashes

I got this few days ago and I was intrigued by it since Ana (anavictorin0) from youtube mentioned that she wanted to try this out for the longest time and she used this for one of her fotd. And I personally think that it look great on her.

So, when I saw this at Etude House, I immediately bought it and it's priced at P128. When I went home, I tried it and it's actually good. The lashes itself are nice and it gives volume but I am not really liking it because it is stiff and it pokes my inner eye area.

The lash glue is in color light blue and the color fades away after one minute. The glue doesn't stick very well on my eyes, and my false lashes keeps on falling apart. Also, I find the glue irritates my skin..
And I think it would be better if I just buy the trustee duo glue since it got many good feed backs.

Overall, I personally think that this lashes are just good for any fotd shoot, but when you use this for special occassion I wouldn't recommend it since it's just synthetic plus it's stiff and pokes like a bee.

Maybelline Hypersharp Liner Review

After all the raves about the Maybelline gel liner, the company came up with another version of eyeliner. And it's called the Maybelline hypersharp liner. This is actually a pen type - in which, it allows you to create that edgy lined eyes.

I thought that the company did a brilliant job for creating such product. I myself is a user of their gel liner and I must say that it works pretty well. However, sometimes I just find it very heavy on my eyes and I would prefer to use something soft looking eyeliner like a liquid liner, but I just suck at it. And then I heard there are  kinds of pen type, but I refrain myself from buying because those kind of stuffs that can only be bought online. I'm not against buying online, I just want to test the product first before buying.

Luckily, my friend of mine, told me that there's a new eyeliner from Maybelline. I thought that it's gonna be a liquid liner. But boy, was I wrong. When I checked it out at the department store, it's the type of  liner that I'm looking for! It's like the one from K-palette or Dolly wink! So, I mmediately bought it.

The packaging is pretty simple though. What can I ask for? It's just a pen! lol. Anyway, I like it that the packaging isn't tacky as I thought. It's professional looking type of pen, I tell you.

On to the swatches, it's pretty decent. I was able to create lines and shapes with this.
I just find it that I have to shake the pen first before I use it, so that more ink will come through but that's no biggie at all!

Overall, I find this product pretty decent for its price and most likely, I would repurchase this eyeliner pen. And yes, I would definitely recommend this to those who aren't that good in lining their eyes as this gives so much control and would glide into the skin smoothly.

How about you, do have this kind of eyeliner? What are your thoughts? Let me know!

Sleek Blush Review

Top to bottom: Flamingo, Coral and Life's a peach

I am so glad that I got my hands on these blushes! I love it's packaging. It's sleek and black and when you open it, it has mirror on it which is pretty decent. The size of this one is quite small compared to nars blush.
The texture of the packaging is rubbery matte which I don't really like because it tends to smudge and it easily get scratched.

The powder itself has great pigmentation although I find life's a peach tends to be chalky on me. However, these have great quality and it applies smoothly and evenly on cheeks! Great blush!

In before you ask, my favorite shade is coral.
It's really gorgeous on my skin shade. My skin shade is NC 30-35

How about you, have you tried any of sleek's blushes? How was it? What's your favorite shade? Let me know!

Ben Nye Luxury Powder

I believe some of you already know what this is for but for those who isn't much a makeup enthusiast, let me give a brief introduction and review for this product.

Description:

Formerly known as Visage Poudre Luxury Powders, these ultra-neutral powders provide superior matte and subtle finishing. Often compared to French powders with silky-fine textures. the Ben Nye Bella line of powders are translucent with just a hint of color

This stuff is amazing! I must say this gotta be my holygrail for setting powders. I already road tested this and guess what? It really did deliver the promise of giving you that matte effect. This product helped my oils at bay. I can tell from the first time I use this, I only blot once and after that.. my make up was still in great condition. One tip though, apply this powder very lightly as this may get too powdery on your face.

Overall, I love this stuff although it has parabens on it - so for those who doesn't like it, I must say be wary! Nonetheless, it's a great product and totally worthy of your money and makes a good investment.

Make Up For Ever Mat Bronze Bronzing Powder

Make Up For Ever Mat Bronze Bronzing Powder

In Mufe website, it says:
Ultra-matte and non-pearly, Mat Bronze is different from standard bronzers, as it gives a natural tanned glow suitable for all skin types (women, men and mature skin) and can be worn throughout the year.
Thanks to its non-drying formula, it completely evens the complexion, toning down imperfections without drying out the skin.
With a long-lasting matte, tanned and powdered finish, it sets make-up and ensures a transparent, perfect result.
Its silky, comfortable texture is pleasant and easy to apply and provides an even finish.
Mat Bronze protects the skin and fights sun-induced ageing thanks to its anti-free radical vitamin E formula.
Its glamorous metallic bronze case is easy to distinguish from other powders.
Mirror and puff included.
The makeup forever bronzing comes with 4 shades namely: Apricot, Honey, Cinnamon and Amber.
I got the shade amber and I can say that it's amazing. It went pretty well on my nc35 skintone. This product really delivers.. I can recreate like megan fox, kim k, warmth glow look by using this bronzer. I also use this for contouring, and the moment I put it on, I was really pleased to see that subtle color on my face. This did not make me break out.
By the way, I like how the packaging is made. It's classy and feels really expensive. ;p

Overall, I love this product. I wouldn't mind to repurchase this again :)

Let's get naked with Urban Decay!

I'm happy and excited that finally I got my own naked 2 palette from urban decay!
I've been meaning to get this from the time it was launched and it even made me more excited to get this palette due to the hype it gets.

Now that I have this palette, I can tell that it really lived up to its hype. The colors are just exquisitely gorgeous and majority of the shades leans on the taupe-y side unlike the naked 1 that tends to have more browns on it. The neutrals of this palette is really great for everyday use. The texture is soo creamy and pigmented (except for the foxy shade). I am so sure, that this palette will be going to be included as one of my favorites cause I'm the type of girl who prefers neutral make-up.

By the way, the package of this palette comes in a tin case, reminds me of pencil case when I was in gradeschool. I love how they come up with this kind of packaging because I find it really sturdy. The case has a big mirror which I love. Also, the case comes with dual ended brush - shader & blending brush. It also comes with a travel size lipgloss! (I love the scent of it! reminds me of andes chocolate!).

That's all for now! I love love my naked palette 2!
How about you, do you own one? What are your thoughts about it? Let me know :)

Makeup Forever Camouflage Palette

Makeup Forever Camouflage Palette #5 / Professional Corrective Shades

In MUFE's website, it says:
"Thanks to their dense texture, the Camouflage Cream Palettes allow any type of correction. Highly concentrated in pigments, they are perfect for covering dark spots and other skin blemishes and unifying the complexion, even when wearing light make up. The natural shades are especially effective to hide dark circles or puffy eyes, pigment stains and scars. The corrective shades conceal hyper-pigmented areas. The 5 Camouflage Cream Palettes have been designed to suit all skin types"

This palette is also known as color - correcting concealers. Like most people they tend to pass this up simply because they don't know what's this for or didn't know how to use it. But let me give you a little overview on how this thing works.

Orange cancels blue. A good example for this is the bluish tint that we have on our under eye area. Next is purple which cancels yellow - this can be used for yellow bruises and such. Lastly is the green corrector which cancels redness - this can be used for blemishes or any red discolorations on the face.

With these being said, X color neutralizes Y color, so whatever discoloration we have, we can always use the principles behind each color corrector - and once the color is neutralized, you can now use the skintone color concealer to set it.

Overall, I love this palette since it has great coverage for concealing areas such as the under eye. The cream is very light that it glides smoothly on to the skin. The pigmentation is amazing as well. The only downside that I see is the hefty price tag..

Firmoo

Last 2 months, I was given a chance to review a sunglasses - Firmoo. I chose to get the aviator like sunglasses since it's the one that suits me well.

so when I received this, I was surprised how fast it came to my mail. Another plus point is, this glasses came with a cleaning cloth, screws and 2 container - a plastic one and a pouch. Anyway, eversince I got this, I wear it everytime I go out. I also love how light this glasses are. I can say, this glasses are too perfect for me. I have nothing bad to say about this stuff.

To firmoo, thank you so much for letting me review this awesome sunglasses! How about you, have you tried firmoo sun/eye glasses yet? If so, how do you like them? Let me know your thoughts.

Change of heart

Trying the new hair color that was sent to me by my future mil. The brand is Prettia which is made from japan. It's one of my favorite because you can dye your hair by yourself. I find this product innovative due to its easiness to apply. If you ask me how easy it could be, it's as easy as shampooing! Amazing isn't it? And what I love more about this product is that I always achieve the desired color - you can never go wrong with this I'm telling you.

Above photo was my previous hair color. I'll show you my current hair color on my next post! :)

My Digiperm Experience

Hey dolls, I want to share with you my digiperm experience at Status Salon, Robinsons Galleria.

By the time I arrived at the Salon, I went to their front desk to tell them that I wanted to avail their digiperm. And the staff there was friendly enough to accommodate me. She then pointed out Bryan -  the one who will do my hair. As Bryan directed me where to seat, he told me that he's going to cut my hair, At first I said no.. but he kept on asking me so eventually, I said yes.

Sky high fuschia-pink wedges

Hey dolls!

I got my order from The maine shoes but let me give you a brief description about this shop first. The Maine shoes shop  caters  affordable and quality made MTO (made to order) shoes. The shop usually copies designer shoes and bags, in addition to that if you fancy any shoes that's not available on their albums, you can always ask the shop to quote a price for you. And oh, if you ask me how long will it take to make one, it's usually 2 weeks :)

So, 2 weeks ago, I received the shoes I ordered from maine. I didn't expect anything about this shoes. But when I saw it, I must say that the quality is good and they were successful in copying the shoes.. However, I am not liking the suede texture of the shoes, but - let me tell you that it's really okay, doesn't really bothered me that much.

Okay now, I'll stop blabbering and show you the shoes I got.

On the Spotlight: Simone's Closet Shop and MY SINCEREST Apology

Late last year, I received a DM from Simone's closet (owner of simone's closet which sells pre-loved and brandnew clothing and also she sells pretty and unique handcrafted accessories), in which she said that she'll be sponsoring some items for her upcoming collection, and since it was my first, who wouldn't say yes?

So, anyway, come December, I received her package, I was very delighted seeing the package she sent me.  And what surprised me most was when I saw this gorgeous neon necklace! And I immediately DM'ed her that I already got her package and I was really thankful for the items she sent and not to forget, I also said that I'll  create an outfit post wearing her stuffs. Days had passed and even months, I wasn't able to come up for an outfit post. (Well, I rather not mention the reasons but I must say, I have a valid excuse for that.) Andddd.. you call me now bad blogger or whatever names that pops into your head right now, But really.. I do have an excuse. NOT that I'm very busy of.

Anyway, to Denise, Let me say that I am truly sorry for this. I know that you already thought of I have taken an advantage of you, but really, I am NOT. And from the bottom of my heart, I do APOLOGIZE.

And so, to save our friendship, I still came up with a quick review as promised.

The Neon Necklace.. This accessory will surely give an outfit an oomph! Say, a white t-shirt and a skinny jeans +heels then add this braided neon necklace and your outfit will instantly brighten! And oh, being the girly-girl that I am, I also found out numerous ways to use this braided necklace. First, I was able to use this as bracelet, 2nd - a hippie band / hairband.
Next is this wrap-around bracelet. One of the cutest accessory that Simone created.Wrap around to your wrist 3-4 times (depends how small your wrist is.) This accessory is made up of suede string with moon /stars as charms.

And to end this post, let me show you how I use my neon braided necklace and wrap around bracelet from Simone Closet shop.
